Based in Dundee, Scotland, "War of the Words" was founded by a group of veteran developers with almost 70 years of experience between them, and who aim to bring something different to gaming, to merge educational and gaming into a genuinely enjoyable experience. Game Developers know better than most, that learning happens most effectively when you're enjoying yourself, so the goal is to make games that teach... entertainment where gamers want to stay in, and learn without realising it.
Founded by Mike Dailly, Colin Anderson and Steve Hammond, they bring a wealth of experience to bear in this new challenge.
Mike Dailly, the first employee of renowned Scottish developer DMA Design, and co-creator of Lemmings and Grand Theft, and ex-Head of Development at YoYo Games, leads the development, supported by Colin Anderson, co-founder of Denki, Scotland's longest-established independent videogame developer with almost 100 games under his belt. And what would a word game be without a resident Wordsmith? Steve Hammond brings this skill in spade, ex-DMA Design, and writer on Hired Guns and Grand Theft Auto, he brings his unique wit and expressive writing style rounding off the company.
